AEG has unveiled the latest power tool in its recently relaunched range – the Ultra Compact 12v Drill Driver (BS12C).

For such a small piece of kit, this particular power tool has plenty of power and it’s compact size makes it perfect for confined areas.

AEG claim that the Drill Driver gives users the longest run time, strength and best performance of any 12v drill driver currently available on the market. Which are big plus points in my book.

RatedPeople.com, the UK’s leading online trade recommendation service, questioned over 2,000 homeowners to find out how recent market changes have impacted on their plans.

It’s not particularly surprising to note that the research indicated that over 2.7 million homeowners planning to move in 2008 have performed a dramatic u-turn in their plans as a result of uncertainty about the current UK housing market.

Nearly two thirds of the 4.5 million homeowners planning to move reported that they now intend to stay put and improve on their existing property, with nearly a quarter of these even anticipating a wait of up to two years before their next move.

If you need help in determining the type, size and position of your indoor plants you may want to give Leaf it at Home a whirl.

They offer ‘Interior landscaping’ which creates ambience and atmosphere in the home through plants. Their flexible design service means solutions within virtually any budget can be sought.  An initial consultation with a Leaf it at Home designer, determines all the plants and pots that might be required.  The plants can then be maintained on a weekly basis as part of an ongoing programme.

Wickes have recently released a handy guide called “How to Cope with Building Works”.

Wickes hope that this document will help ease the classically tense builder/customer relationship!

The easy to read guide offers simple and sensible hints and tips to help the customer cope with the 13 most common home improvements.

These include, everything from decorating, rewiring and tiling to extensions.

For example, a customer might not know those little things (that are obvious to tradesmen) like ensuring a clear access route to the roof space if you are fitting a new boiler or even improving those classic customer annoyances like paint fumes by simply placing half a raw onion in the corner of the room.

The free, 28-page, full colour guide is downloadable online at Wickes.

Aspect Maintenance’s top ten tips include:
