Chocolate is probably one of the more common carpet stains in the home. Particularly if you have children!
1. The first thing you need to do is scrape the excess chocolate off the carpet using a knife.
2. Gently massage in a good quality carpet shampoo and then clean away using a cloth.
3. If a stain still remains, use a carpet remover solvent.

There are some commercial gum removing solvents, although I have doubts over whether they don’t leave a stain in themselves.
