Making your home appear occupied while vacant is a very important security precaution.
This can easily be achieved by using a Sunset Switch. This ingenius device is controlled by a light sensitive eye that activates a switch at dusk. The switch has a setting panel that creates a switch off time of 2 - 8 hours after the light comes on. Hook this up to a lamp and you have device that helps give the impression that the house is occupied.

There is an issue about shattering toughened car window screens in accidents. However, I think there is also a case for tackling this problem in the home. Many doors and windows are made from toughened double glazing which makes it tremendously difficult to break through in the event of a fire.

Every so often you see an idea and think that’s absolute genius - wish I’d thought of that....
