If you’ve just finished redecorating your home, you’re going to need a decent bed to complete your decor scheme.

Luxury bed maker, Vi-Spring, has launched a series of Centres of Excellence at Furniture Village stores across the UK. In relaxed and stylish surroundings, the joint initiative will showcase Vi-Spring’s uncompromising approach to sleep, which it believes can be truly life-changing.

The average adult spends 25 years in bed during a lifetime, so choosing the right bed is one of the most important purchasing decisions you can make. After all, your bed is the place you return to almost every night and should be chosen with care. In a busy and stressful shopping environment, it can be impossible to give this task the required attention. The Vi-Spring Centres of Excellence eliminate distractions, allowing customers to focus on selecting their perfect bed in peaceful calm.

Designed exclusively for Furniture Village, the centres will feature chandeliers, subtle freestanding lighting and strand curtains to evoke a tranquil and opulent atmosphere. Experts will be on hand at every centre to provide advice on every aspect of Vi-Spring’s unparalleled bespoke service.

The best thing about the wall kits is that there are no glues, no mess and no fuss.  The effect is a transformation from boring to bold in a matter of minutes. The stickers are vinyl pre-cut self adhesive stickers which can be applied or removed without fuss, they are also washable. You can expect up to 96 stickers per box all of different sizes and colours.

The room themes come in four ‘Original’ themes:

•      Undersea Adventure
•      Funky flower
•      Outer Space
•      Jungle Safari

If you’re a DIY enthusiast with concerns over the environment, you maybe pleased to hear that Dulux released Ecosure a couple of months ago.

Developed in conjunction with Forum for the Future (Sustainability Experts) the new paint has been designed to minimise environmental impact. About time to, some might say.

Apparently, Forum for the Future took a look at the impact of water based matt, gloss and undercoat products right through the production process. There results identified a reduction in embodied carbon and VOCs.

The dressing of a completed room is crucial to achieving a finished product. It’s particularly important if you’re looking to sell after a renovation project.

The old chestnuts are things like putting flowers on tables and brewing coffee - which are all meant to help a sale. But what about artwork?

Personally, I think it’s crucial. A good quality canvas can cover up a multitude of sins and create the illusion of more space.
