If you like your showers hi tech, the new Mira Magna Digital caters for you.

image

It has been billed as a “super stylish digital shower with cutting edge technology and available with a waterveil head for wider shower coverage”.

As a digital shower it allows full programmability, so the whole family can store their desired settings. This is a great idea considering I always end up getting scalded after my wife has taken her ablutions!

Remote control use also means you never need step into a cold shower again as you can turn Mira Magna on from another room.

The little boy gadget lover inside me just loves this piece of kit. Whether it’s actually any good is another question?

Over the next few days we’re going to be letting you know about the new Mira Eco Range of shower units.

The new range of handsets and fixed heads reduce water consumption by up to 75% without impairing shower performance. Not bad in context of rocketing water bills.

With a further doff of the cap to green credentials - the Eco range carries the Waterwise ‘Water Marque’ and comes in recyclable cardboard packaging.

In addition £1 from every purchase goes to WaterAid, guaranteeing a £10k donation for the charity.

When we heard about the Dulux Paint Pod Roller System in the office we through up a collective cheer. No more loading of rollers with excess paint and no more cleaning. Yipeee.

Did it live up to expectations when we tested it? Well absolutely yes and no....

We only gave it a brief run around (we’re due to do more comprehensive testing in a couple of weeks which we will report and review) but first impressions are ok.

We have summarised the key features and factoids as follows:

The Mira Everclear is a shower handset specially made for hard water areas where showers have a tendency to fur up quickly.

image

Everclear reduces limescale build up with an innovative self drain mechanism which kicks in when the shower is turned off.

This shower head is also self cleaning thanks to pins which push through the shower nozzles, either automatically or manually activated, so you never need to scrub again!

Anything, that saves scrubbing and cleaning of scale has to be worth consideration..... We’re actually planning to purchase this product for a new development - will report back with a more in depth review thereafter. Keep your eyes peeled!!!!
