Quotatis.co.uk a rather excellent web site that connects people with locally vetted tradesperson and service providers has come up with some interesting research.

It claims that the British obsession with dabbling with DIY is causing a 300 per cent surge in Monday maintenance requests. Requests for builders, plumbers, electricians and the like rises dramatically on Mondays, as homeowners seek to amend botched DIY projects attempted during the weekend. By contrast, Saturdays and Sundays account for just a tenth of calls received all week.
