There are some hellishly expensive patio doors available. But if you’re looking for something a little more reasonably priced the Wickes range might be helpful.

Although, we haven’t tested these products, they look stylish and include a range that has been extended from 6 and 8 foot doors to include 10 and 12 foot doors.

This design appears high quality and features double glazing throughout with a solid wood core and an extra-thick, three millimetre real oak veneer.

Prices range from £1,299 for a three panel door, you can bring the outdoors into your home.  Four options of three panels up to five (sizes available are 6ft, 8ft, 10ft and 12ft).  All the doors fold back completely and the 10ft option also has a French door feature, providing easy access for everyday use.  All the doors are reversible, meaning they can be fitted from left to right or right to left – a handy feature for this type of door.

If you need help in determining the type, size and position of your indoor plants you may want to give Leaf it at Home a whirl.

They offer ‘Interior landscaping’ which creates ambience and atmosphere in the home through plants. Their flexible design service means solutions within virtually any budget can be sought.  An initial consultation with a Leaf it at Home designer, determines all the plants and pots that might be required.  The plants can then be maintained on a weekly basis as part of an ongoing programme.

Leaf-it-at-home Design Consultant Andrew Davidson says;

“Long gone are the days of scrappy looking plants shoved in the corner of a room, the trend is shifting towards plants being the main focus of any well-designed interior.  Shapes, colours and sizes of plants have become more and more significant as stylish features.”
