Bosch UNEO review

The Bosch UNEO Cordless Compact Power Drill is one of those electrical power tools that really lifts your spirits. Having struggled on for years with an inefficient, clumsy and fairly underpowered cordless drill - along comes the Bosch UNEO and saves the day.

First of all, it’s what I might call ergonomically designed. It balances pretty well in the hand and is comparatively lightweight.

Secondly, it is pretty darn powerful for a cordless drill of this size.

Thirdly, Bosch as they always do - have produced a sturdy, robust and well designed product that will probably last an absolute age. Job done, no need to buy a new drill for the next hundred years then…

Forth, it’s compact and very easy to use. So it doubles up perfectly for heavy duty hammer drilling or light touch screwing work.

Lastly, (and most importantly for me) it holds it’s charge wonderfully well - using Lithium-Ion technology in the battery.

Other features include:

• Multifunctional, unique solution for every job from screwdriving to drilling

• High convenience due to small size and low weight

• Always ready to use due to Lithium-Ion technology - no self discharge or memory effect

• SDS-Quick chuck system

• Drilling and hammering setting, variable speed, with brake

• Pneumatic mechanism for drilling into concrete

• Integrated lightweight 14.4V Lithium-Ion battery - 3hr charging time

• No load speed of 0-900rpm

• Includes charger, soft grip carry case, 2 SDS-Quick drill bits, 2 hex shank drill bits and 4 screw driving bits

Retails for around £119 - and in my view is an absolute bargain for the price.

To top it off you get a two year guarantee on the product.
