Choosing Interior Paint Colours

If you’re looking for paint colour inspiration The Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute have plenty of insightful tips and advice.

In fact they have just revealed their predictions for paint trends in Spring/Summer 2008.  Bold and expressive colours dominate…..

Paint expert Edward Appleton spokesperson for The Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute says

“It’s time to pluck up your colour-courage when you’re next painting your home. This Season’s trends have real vigour, and while one direction is more subtle, all the others are pretty strong colour statements.”

These Graffiti Rules and Mauve Moments themes are favourites of the Redoityourself.com Editorial staff.

Mr Appleton goes to suggest:

“High quality water-based paints are often a good choice as they dry to a tough durable finish. They also offer excellent colour retention, meaning brilliant colours stay looking great longer.”

This is something I whole heartedly agree with. Good quality water based paints are easier to manipulate and better for the environment to boot.
