DIY Tool Starter Kit

If you are going to engage in home improvement, you’re going to need a basic tool kit.
We suggest the following as a starting point:
- 8m tape measure
- Hammer
- Comprehensive set of screwdrivers
- Pipe and electrics detector - absolutely essential
- Insulated pliers
- Cordless electric drill with screw driver functionality
- Junior hacksaw
- Stanley knife with lots of spare blades
- Spirit level
- Adjustable spanner
- Good quality paintbrushes
- Roller and tray
As an amateur DIYer these tools should cover most eventualities and they shouldn’t cost more than £100 ($160).
