Maximising Light to Your Loft Conversion

If you’re doing a loft conversion, you will almost certainly need to consider ways of improving light and head room.

Some things to consider:

1. There are a plethora of dormer window styles and designs - so think carefully about what your requirements are.

2. Install a window seat beneath the dormer. This will create a feature and useful concealed storage space.

3. Consider installing rooflights as an alternative. If you have a great view you want to make the most of, look at a design that opens outwards.

4. A real wow factor feature is to convert the whole gable end of the loft to glazing.
