Removing a Nail You Can Not Grip

We’ve all had rusty nails, or nails firmly embedded into timber. These can be very tricky to remove - so what do you do?

Option 1: Hammer the nail below the surface of the wood, then use a wood filler to level the indentation.

Option 2: Using a chisel or broad blade screw driver remove the surrounding timber until you are able to grip the nail head with pincers. Remove the nail and repair the indentation with wood filler.
