Filling in holes and gashes in plasterboard is pretty much a permanent occupation for me. Particularly when you have kids who seem to think walls don’t exist!

Something like Polycell Smoothover is an essential for the average toolbox. Any wall gouges or divots can be easily and quickly filled in with a drying time of 6 hours.

The product is described as follows:

• The advanced formulation is easily applied with the Polycell SmartSmoother to cover large areas quickly and easily. Dries brilliant white.

• Fills imperfections such as cracks, gouges and small holes.

• Dries in 6 hours.

• For plaster, plasterboard and painted masonry surfaces.

• 2.5 litres will cover up to 5 square metres on a 1mm deep textured surface.
