Timber Post Cap

If you’re constructing a fence, don’t forget to attach a timber post cap to each post.

It can be flat or bevelled as per above - but essentially it’s purpose is to steer water away from the open grain of the post. This should help prevent the timber fence post rotting.

Given that each timber post cap retails for a meagre £1 ($2) it’s well worth making sure all your fence posts have one.
